I love character. I love individuality. I love discovering what causes people to be individuals, and as a photographer, I love to discover which traits make each client an individual and define their character. Since I primarily photograph children, I know that the quirks and preferences that define their character today could be gone tomorrow. I love to be able to capture their personalities, a reminder of who they were on that day in that stage in their life. And I love the feeling that I have accomplished that as I unload the images and see their individuality shining through.
This session was full of character and individuality. It was an absolute delight, and the images from it are a little outside of my normal images. The rubber boots, the favorite stuffed animal, the posing fairy princess 5 year old, are all captured here and define so much of who these two are at the end of summer 2006.
